Tucked away in the “desire of my heart” was writing. This desire could have come to screeching halt when my English college professor handed me the bright red “F” on my first English writing assignment. As a professional speaker, back of the room sales and product development is always important, so I gave my first book a go. Surprisingly, people liked my little book entitled, “Bare Feet to High Heels; You Don’t have to be a Beauty Queen to be a Beautiful Person.” As a humorist speaker who presents inspirational presentations, I decided to take the plunge, attend a conference and learn how to enhance your writing career. Last week, Alton Gansky, the Director of the Blue Ridge Writer’s Christian Writers Conference, asked me to share my journey combining my talents as a funny keynote speaker and writer. Thanks to a great team; Eddie Jones of Lighthouse Publishing of the Carolinas, Tim Burns and Meaghan Burnett, my latest book, “Bury Me with My Pearls” has been in the top ten in twenty Amazon categories. I hope this Youtube interview will help both writers and professional speakers in their pursuit of combining their talents. How to Enchance Your Writing Career
