Yes, there are some stories that cannot be made-up. While shopping at our local grocery store, I was asked if I was Jane Herlong. “Yes,” I answered. “I LOVE your book,” said the stranger.
I was delighted since my latest book, “Bury Me with My Pearls” had become an Amazon Best-seller and I was riding high. I had written two other books; “Bare Feet to High Heels” and “What Ta-Tas Teach Us.”
“You are talking about The PEARLS Book, right?” I asked.
“Oh, No,” replied the stranger. “It is the one about the titties. I bought it at a yard sale for a quarter…
I did the math and figured I spent a little over 12¢ a tittie.”
I could not have asked for a better comment than that! She made me laugh and gave me a new story.
October is breast cancer awareness month and it is time to think about annual mammograms. Mammograms are the most efficient screening method to detect early breast cancer.
My sister survived breast cancer but sadly, she did not survive a heart condition that she was unaware she had. My sister did not pay attention to her health needs and told me she a couple of years before her breast cancer diagnosis that she was not having any more mammograms. Big mistake.
I wrote the book, “What Ta-Tas Teach Us” and dedicated it to my sister’s memory. This book is twenty life lessons filled with humor, inspiration and “ah-ha” moments. It is beautifully illustrated by my friend, Beth Clark and is for the young and young-at-heart. “What Ta-Tas Teach Us” will make you laugh, think and you will want to share these timeless principles with those special women in your life. This book also highlights the brave women in the fight again breast cancer and makes a perfect gift for all of the women in your life during breast cancer awareness month. A portion of the profits are given to support the fight against breast cancer.
I decided to give away the Kindle edition so download a copy and enjoy! The paperback edition is also available.
I also just received this lovely review:
“I can’t understand why I only happened upon such a profound and moving book in the “humor” section of daily deals. This is much too good a book; very inspirational for ladies of all ages. It really touched my heart dearly. The illustrations are absolutely beautiful, as well. Very beautiful.”
Share this post with special women in your life and do not neglect your annual screening for breast cancer awareness! Call today and make an appointment. No kidding, I just made the call for myself!
