Have you ever had a dream come true? Wednesday morning I will fly to Louisville, Kentucky and attend the National FFA Convention. Their theme is Go All Out. There will be around 60,000 of America’s finest youth; the Future Farmers of America or FFA. Friday evening, October 31 at 7:48 I will be the closing speakers for an audience of 18,000. My session will be aired LIVE on RFD television and Sirius XM Radio. Somebody pinch me. I will be sharing the platform with Jeff Simmons, CEO of Elanco and the CEO of Tyson Foods, Donnie Smith. Also on the program is Nick Vujicic who was born with a genetic disease and has no limbs. What an honor to share the platform with these amazing men.

My speech is entitled, Don’t Throw Tomatoes at My Field of Dreams. I can honestly say as I stand before these outstanding young people, my words will come from my heart.  Only by God’s grace and His guidance to help me “plow” through life to deal with my “tomatoes” can I share this message of encouragement splashed with humor. To be able to stand on that stage, I have had to live the message of Go All Out.
What is your definition of Go All Out? What are some desires tucked into your heart that can be achieved?  Have you let some dreams go to the graveyard of “I can’t do that!”  Henry Ford said,  “Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t–you’re right.” Eleanor Roosevelt said, “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.”
I was reared in a tenant house, diagnosed as Dyslexic, teased and told I was ugly (I was in the Miss America Pageant). I was discouraged from attending college (I graduated and  was on the Dean’s List). I could not get accepted into college (I went to graduate school). I made an “f” in writing (wrote a best-selling book) and told I could not have children (I have two children). I was also told my humor was not good enough for Satellite Radio ( I am played on Sirius XM and Pandora Internet Radio).
I am a fighter; I was reared on a farm.  We never give up and GO ALL OUT. You can do the same, it is up to you.  Take action today and make something good happen to serve others.
